Esmond S. Ballingham

EsmondBallinghamEsmond S. Ballingham was born on July 12, 1919 in Grouse Creek, Utah a son of Arthur Godfrey and Mary Jane Paskett Ballingham.

He was raised in Grouse Creek and Lucin, Utah moving to Ogden, Utah in 1937 to attend high school.

He married Dorothy Mary Simonsen , October 27, 1941 in the Salt Lake Temple.

He worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad for 14 years. He retired from Hill Air Force Base after 29 years of service where he worked as an electrician. He served in the U.S. Army during World Was II in Europe.

Esmond was a member of the Washington Terrace 2nd LDS Ward where he held numerous positions including three Stake Missions, Ward Mission Leader and was the High Priest Group Secretary. He completed a full time Temple Mission of the Philippines and served many years in the Ogden Temple.

His children are: Richard, Donald, David, Sylvia, Dolores, Gary and Janet.

He passed away on December 20, 1993 and is buried in the Lindguist Washington Heights Memorial Park in Ogden, Utah.
