Thelma Hadfield Olson

Thelma Hadfield Olson was born July 5, 1925 in Grouse Creek, Utah a daughter of John and Pauline Warburton Hadfield.

Her brothers and sisters are: Herman, Delbert, Jack, Reed, Richard, May, Emily and Ellen.

She was raised in Grouse Creek and attended elementary school there and also lived in Brigham City, Utah and attended school there, graduation from Box Elder High School.

She married Richard Larson and they were later divorced.

In 1973 she moved to Ogden, Utah. She attended Weber State College where she met her husband, Jennings Olson Jr.  She married him on March 29, 1973.

Her children are: Vicki, Kathy and Carol Ann.

Thelma was a life long member of the LDS Church where she served in various callings.

She retired from Thiokol Corporation following 30 years service and she received several service awards in their accounting department.

Thelma lovingly crocheted numerous baby blankets and quilted many quilts.  She loved to garden and grew beautiful flowers.

Her life was full of memories and “treasured moments”. Thelma taught many of lifes valuable lessons by her example.. living, loving, caring and the value of hard work.

She passed away on January 6, 2004 and is buried in the Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park.
