Florence was born on July 31, 1918 in Etna, Utah to Ralph and Chloe Kimber Tanner. Her brothers and sisters are: Dean, Therma, Bernice, DeLoy and Edna.
She attended school in Grouse Creek to the tenth grade and then moved to Brigham City where she graduated from Box Elder High School.
In 1940 she married J. Lynn Jensen in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died in April of 1993. They had the following children: David, Darwin, Elaine, Marlene, and Eldon.
Florence was a faithful life long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was a devoted mother and made a good home for her family. She enjoyed oil painting, cooking, sewing, handwork and gardening. She loved reading and had a lifelong love of learning, She took as many adult classes as she could, but loved oil painting the best. She took oil painting lessons from many private teachers and then took night classes from Weber College for two years. She then taught oil painting in her home studio for over 20 years. She suffered a tragic accident that made her right hand and arm useless, which ended her art career instantly. After many years she was able to use her arm and hand again, but by then had lost most of her eyesight.
Over the years she held many part-time jobs. She was a very hard worker and worked many long hours, but was still able and willing to help others when needed.
Florence T. Jensen passed away February 16, 2008 at her home surrounded by her loving family and is buried in the Brigham City Cemetery.
