In 2000, I started to gather information on each of the residences in the Grouse Creek valley. While gathering information, I discovered that my aunt, Verna Richardson was also working on a similar project. Since Verna is a much better historian than I am, I sent her the information I had so she could incorporate it into her project. We are still working on this project but hopefully we are making some progress. My wife (Judy Smith) will be creating a story map with her GIS skills. On this map, each residence in the Grouse Creek valley will be identified by a marker. When you move your mouse over the marker, a popup window will display. This window will show a picture of the house (if I have one) and a list of all the inhabitants of the house. You can either click on the house to get a more detailed history of the residence, or you can select a name which will link to their personal history if I have one.

Hopefully this interactive map will give you all the information you can get for each of the residences. Stay tuned for more information.
