Celeste Hodges Kimball Kimber was born December 19, 1909 a daughter of Parley Nathaniel and Theora Pope Hodges in Garden City, Utah.
Her brothers and sisters are: Jay, Mark, Ben, Margarette Blanch.
She spent her early childhood in Garden City where she acquired her education and she was active in the LDS Church holding several positions.
She married Heber C. Kimball on June 8, 1927 in the Logan LDS Temple. They lived in Garden City for several years before moving to Logan, Utah. They were later divorced.
Her Children are: Dr. Ralph H., Dr. David H., Dr. Ted H., and Carol Celeste Kimball.
She married Ernest Kimber on September 9, 1967.
Her working years were spent specializing in making and selling drapes at Penney’s in Logan and at Zolene’s and Herrod’s in Ogden,Utah.
Celeste was always quick to come to the aid of others, both at work and at home. Her charitable nature was evidenced by her providing a haven for her brother and sister when they were young.
As a young girl helping her father on the farm, she developed a strong work ethic and love for the outdoors so when it was time to retire she moved to Grouse Creek, Utah and began a new life as a rancher. She worked side by side with her husband, Ernest, raising cattle and building a ranch.
Their home was always a welcome stop for family, friends, or any one who wanted a hot cup of coffee, a cold drink or a good home cooked meal.
She passed away on December 29, 1995 in Ogden and is buried in the Garden City Cemetery.
