Betty was born on August 15, 1922 in Grouse Creek, Utah. She was youngest of eight children of William Cotton and Mary Elizabeth Hadfield Betteridge.
Her brothers and sisters are: Hilda, Ella, Doris, Therma, Wilma, H. Kenneth, and Clara.
She moved to Ogden with her family and graduating from Ogden High School in 1940.
While working at Hill Air Force Base she was pursued by a young supervisor, Bill Sims Treseder. They were married December 12, 1956 in Roy, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple in 1962. Together they raised six children: Bill,Sharee, Jeff, Susan, Teri, and Judy.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving faithfully in many callings. She especially loved serving in the Primary.
She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and was at her happiest with her family around her.
She lived in the same house for 45 years, moving to Chancellor Gardens Assisted Living in Clearfield in February of 2002.
Betty died on Thursday, May 29, 2003 surrounded by her loving family and is buried at Lindquist”s Washington Heights Memorial Park in Ogden, UT
