Emma Lucas Blanthorn was born on April 12, 1894 in Etna, Utah the youngest daughter of a family of ten to Charles and Marian Maiben Lucas.
She was reared and educated in Grouse Creek, Utah. She was married to George (Kid) Blanthorn on December 10, 1914 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
They had three sons and two daughters: Bryan, Chester, Boyd, Barbara and Wanda.
She lived in Grouse Creek, Logan, Tremonton, Utah and Las Vegas Nevada.
Emma lived in Logan to assure her children were well educated and most of them graduated from Utah State University which is a credit to her and Kid.
She was an active member of the LDS church and the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
She passed away in Las Vegas on September 20, 1989 at the age of ninety-five and buried in the Grouse Creek Cemetery.
