She was born on May 31, 1877 in Tooele, Tooele, Utah a daughter of David Harry and Martha Jane Davis Toyn.

Francis married James Cooke and they had the following children: David James, Charles William, Francis LeRoy, Martha Jane, Leslie, Lorin, Harvey, Thelma May, Verda Marie and Merlin O’Dell.

She passed away on October 15, 1928 in Sparks, Nevada of cerebral apoplexy and is buried in the Grouse Creek, Utah Cemetery.
