William (Bill) Gene Tanner – 6 May 1935

William (Bill) Gene Tanner born May 6, 1935, in Ogden, Utah to Mary Ella Betteridge and Delbert E. Tanner. His brothers and sisters are Merlin, Keith, Gordon, Doug and Carol.

Bill was raised in a small ranching community in northwest Utah called Grouse Creek. He married Mary Kay Hoggan in 1954. They lived in Ogden and Bountiful Utah for 10 years, moved to Detroit, Michigan in 1965 and then moved to Dallas, Texas in 1974. Their children are Robert W., Eric Gene, Mary Fay; Steve; Patt, Karen; Brad; and Marc.

Bill was a friendly out-going person. He made immediate friends wherever he went. He was active in his church and community. He enthusiastically supported his family in all of their endeavors. Bill loved his family and friends and will be missed by all.

Bill passed away on December 19, 2016, and is buried at Restland Cemetery.
