Robert was born October 30, 1902 in Price, Carbon County, Utah a son of Frank Bergess and Persis Minerva McKee Laird Roberts Horsley.

He died in Grouse Creek, Utah of pneumonia on May 28, 1908 and is buried in the Cemetery there.
