Ross D. Warburton was born in Etna, Utah, a son of Richard E. and Laura Amanda DeWitt Warburton.
He got his early schooling at Etna and Grouse Creek and attended LDS Business College in Salt Lake City.
He was a lifelong rancher in Etna, Utah. His earlier life was spent working with is brothers and in later life enjoyed ranching with his sons.
Ross was an Elder in the Grouse Creek Ward.
He met Lillian Grace Chadwick when she came to teach school in Etna and boarded at their family home. They were married on September 29, 1922 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
They were blessed with the following children: Reese, Dwight, Claire (who died at the age of ten) and Carol. On September 22, 1965 their marriage was solemnized in the Logan Temple and their children sealed to them. Reese’s wife, Irma, served as proxy for Claire. He was an Elder in the Grouse Creek Ward.
Ross died April 5, 1967 and was buried in the Brigham City Cemetery.
