Charles was born in Ogden on July 3, 1936 a son of Edward C. and Pearl Douglas Harris.
He attended Ogden city schools and was a member of the Ray Minter Band.
He was active in music circles and organized his own band, the Katz Brothers. He also entertained U.S. Servicemen in both Vietnam and Southeast Asia.
He lived a short time in Grouse Creek, Utah and was affiliated with the Co-Op store.
Charles died May 29, 1982 and is buried in the Grouse Creek Cemetery.
