Jesse was born January 23, 1843 at Sedgely Parish, Staffordshire, England, a son of David and Hannah Turner Morgan.

He died July 4, 1924 in Grouse Creek, Box Elder County, Utah of natural causes and is buried in the Grouse Creek Cemetery.
